Spring is here, time for the park!

Spring has officially arrived and with it's arrival has come the most beautiful weather so we have been spending a lot of time at the park. On this day we went to van zandt park and walked all the nature trails before we played on the playground. There weren't many kids there but I did make friends with a girl and we played hide-n-seek together. I wasn't aware mom was taking pictures of me. She says she has to do it on the sly or else I pose. Well duh, I want to look my best! I love going to the park. I always look forward to Wednesdays when we go to clark park with Sarah, William, and Grace. On the other days we go to the parks closer to our house. At the park near our house there is an awesome frolf course so mom said I could learn to frolf, I can't wait to do that!

Finished my first sewing project!

I have finished my first sewing project. It is a skirt and it is really cool. I made it out of pink and brown fabric, it is kind of see-through but mom said we can make a slip to go under it, maybe we can even make it out of netting so the skirt puffs out. That would be cool. Mom is going to have to help me adjust it because it is a bit big on me. I put in the zipper and made the waistband and did everything totally on my own. For my next project I will be making envelope pillowcases with buttons, I can't wait to learn how to do buttons and button holes. Moms machine makes it kind of easy because it has feet for buttons and button holes. My mom took these pictures while I was doing my sewing homework, I had to have the skirt front and back sewn together and the skirt hemmed so we could do the zippers and waistbands in class that day.

Scotland in Clay County?

We went to the Scottish games again this year and had more fun! We saw this English policeman walking around, he was really from England! So were the ladies with him so Mom made me get a picture with them. I told her just to let Skye but someone had to hold her so I had to get in the picture too. Gee. Thrilling. The rest of the day was good though, I got to pet some animals in the petting zoo and throw a sheep (not a real one!) The bagpipes hurt my ears but mom says they are beautiful and she loves the music. I loved the birds of prey, the falcons and eagles were soooo cool! We got to see Evan, Jason, Nicole, Grandma Kelly, Nan, and Pop there too. I wish Daddy could have gone, he likes doing that kind of stuff with us. It was neat.
